I painted this a little over a month ago during an unexpected situation that happened with a friend. I wanted her to know that no matter what happened I still held a light for her. I never ended up showing her the piece and I am not sure if I will or not as I worry she might take it wrong.... But I do hope she will be alright.
These little wax rabbits are solitary creatures that roam the roads of the lonely and lost, showing them promise and, if the person is willing, leading them to hope.
I promise...my green/blue/purple period will come to a close soon. I have been reminded that I do a lot of that lately and I guess it is just what I was feeling at the time. The original is hung with three vials of moonwater (water left out in the full moon, I often collect it for painting) gears and a small moon shaped crystal charm
If you would like to laugh and point at how all my pieces look the same here are some more from my 'gruple' (green/blue/purple) period. Each of these was painted using the same three colours. Prussian blue, violet and viridian although the two little squares feature one of my rare uses of black paint which I regret using.
Time: 5+ hours
Tools: Watercolour on canvas, gears, vials of moonwater and a moon shaped crystal
Reference: I am pretty sure I vaguely referenced a real bun.
