Oh camera...oh why do you hate my art so much? (horrible photo)
You know sometimes I start to say so many things and then I realize I never really wanted to open my mouth.
Anatomy is stylized, but critique on lighting is always appreciated.
Time: 10 or so hours Tools: Messily sketched in pencil on watercolour paper, painted in watercolour with the tiniest bit of gelpen for the whitest highlights. Reference: Nothing visual.
This drawing is bloodmarked and copyright Aria Keehn 2011 ShePaintsWithBlood (me) Thank you for looking.
First off I love this critter with melting ribbon tail and legs merging into a tree. Is it some sort of tree spirit because that is what it appears to be. The fur is soo fluffly and your creative anatomy is awesome as usual. Is the light coming from above? Or elsewhere? The way you shaded it leaves me scratching my head as to where its coming from. Or are you trying two light sources? As of right now it looks like there is a light in the top right and another in the top left from the way you shaded the forelimb, tree and face.
It's great to see a painting from you again! I love how she/he turns to wooden vines almost, and the whispy look of this... the texture of the fur on the neck is beautiful as well. Great to see updates from you!
this is one of the most beautiful things I think I've ever seen. To me its like the moon became a creature to walk on the stars with spindly legs and an ethereal gait. I never know what to say to your artwork because it always leaves me breathless and starving.
Aww, thank you, doll!! She has really been reminding me of the moon too which I love <3 I love the idea of her walking on the stars too, that would be adorable. Thank you!!
