+ Clockwork V + by ShePaintsWithBlood + Clockwork V + by ShePaintsWithBlood
Sold

This is a painting of my Jackalope V who appeared in a dream for me last year (though I will admit, in the dream, he was actually just a jackrabbit, he became a jackalope after I woke up) The dream had a massive impact on me and has thusly started the plot for a fully illustrated novel.

My dream cut off on a rather horrible point which is partially what brought me to pursue a story. I wanted to know what happened to V and this is it.

You can bet that now I have his appearance slightly more established you will be seeing him again soon. Thanks to LuxDani whom, with her awesomeness recently gave me a beautiful Jackalope painting and inspired me to give painting V a whirl. You can see her magic here Storytime by LuxDani

Tools: Watercolour on canvas with fake clock gears which actually trail off the canvas a little in real life. www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi…
Reference: Jackrabbits!

This painting, Clockwork V and all that it entails are bloodmarked and copyright to Aria "51" Keehn, ShePaintsWithBlood (me) 2013. Thank you for looking!:blackrose:

Oh my gosh, you're working on a fully illustrated novel?! I can't wait to see it!!! I honestly love stories starring animals, and the fact that your V seems to be a creature of both biology and mechanics makes this even more intriguing...for me, such combinations of nature and culture are really worth contemplating. Good luck in your endeavors, and be sure to keep us posted!

Yay thank you! Clockwork V is going to be a long time coming I fear but I am excited for when it does arrive! I love the way you interpret my mechanical/organic animals too so I am looking forward to hearing more of your feedback on this project in particular! :blackrose:

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry that I took so long to respond to this! But yes, as I am currently working on a project surrounding the conflation/amalgamation of mechanics and organics, I'm REALLY fascinated by creatures such as your Clockwork V. And no worries about the time; the best works tend to be those that a person has spent a long time on. After all, there's no such thing as good writers, but only good re-writers...but in any case, I'm really excited as well to hear more about the life and times of Clockwork V, and will of course be very happy to provide feedback on this story as it progresses.

This is beautiful :) I love how slender the legs are, and the fur is just gorgeous :) not to mention the ear :) It's all so pretty, and I love that your works always have a surreal/dream-like feel to them :)

That's very beautiful.. I love how you drew the legs, they look so delicate. And with the little spirals in the hair and antlers. It looks great.

Hehe thank you! Haha V certainly has got the little stick legs has he not? I forgot when I drew them though that his left back leg is supposed to be mechanical...oops...:blackrose:
